Cultural Background-Native Americans

Native American bead work is well known for creating bead work using x-, x+, y-, y+. The key concept being used in this lesson is how to use a graph. The design type is four-fold symmetry. All of the four-fold symmetry's are reflected on each side. The four types are Embroidery, Shoshone, Pawnee, Navajo. In the second image the beadwork is symmetrical , but with different colors.

Communication

I noticed during my log I communicated mostly through text and snap chat. I didn't use my phone consistently, but different times throughout the day. Most of the people my age communicated this way too.

Scavenger Hunt Reflection

• I am good at searching for pictures  for a specific thing
• I could improve on web searching for something very specific
• I could improve on typing a good word or sentence to search for the correct item or person

Computer Buying Project

Learned- I learned the functions of different parts of a computer and the price range of the them.

Challenge- One challenge that occurred during the project was trying to find the right parts for the Mac computer without going over the budget of $1,000.

Working With a Partner

Working with a partner can be easy because you can divide up the work. But, it can also be difficult if your partner is absent or doesn't do much work. It is easier when your partner is productive and you can help each other with what you don't understand.

Hi, my name is Jaime and I am a sophomore in high school.  I have been in my high school's color guard since 7th grade. I also babysit twins. I have two sisters, one older and one younger.
